"I'm humbled and thrilled to share that CTP1, 9x12 vine charcoal drawing on toned paper, was accepted for Humans25, The NY Figurative Exhibit at The Salmagundi Art Club.
Figure studies from a photo reference is the subject matter. Charcoal, graphite and/or watercolor is the artistic medium. With a penchant for drawing, values are dense in some places and transparent in other places to create an ethereal quality deserved of the female nude. Scientific notations, in lieu of titles, are an homage to my alpha geek big brother who taught me, by breaking things down into components only a visual thinker would appreciate, the skills required to support my creative addiction. For example, YIM4 translates to "You Inspire Me," and it's the fourth piece of art in a specific series of works.
